The foundation that the Discipleship House is built upon is morning prayer/worship time. This comes from the example my dad laid for me. Every morning of my life growing up, I would wake up to find my dad reading his Bible & praying. This quiet time is necessary for living as a Christian. What better time to do this than first thing in the morning!Every person in the D-house is paired up with another accountability partner which they can share their struggles with. James 5 says we should confess our sins to each other & pray for each other.Twice a year a men’s group is held at the house. The men’s group meets once per week for 9 weeks. The curriculum for the group was created by Mike Hathcock with a large portion of the material coming from John Eldridge’s books.Weekly “house meetings” are to be held to allow members hold each other accountable for day to day chores & other items.
